Nephrology Nurses Week
Every year, patients walk through our doors carrying more than a diagnosis; they carry fear, fatigue, and uncertainty about what kidney disease means for their lives. And every year, it’s our nephrology nurses who meet them there, sometimes two or three times a week, for months or years at a time.
In honor of Nephrology Nurses Week, we asked the Associated Nephrology Consultants team a simple question: what makes this work meaningful to you?
🔵 Blue: The Steadiness Behind Every Shift

“A typical shift for us involves keeping up with messages with the providers, calling patients to make sure they’re informed with their most recent lab results, closely monitoring their kidney function, and coordinating care with their providers.”
That steady, behind-the-scenes work is easy to miss but always felt.
“Building relationships with our patients is very important to us, because we have to form that trust to give you the best care possible.”
🟠Orange: The Warmth of Showing Up, Again and Again
